NARSS DISCUSSES WAYS OF COOPERATION BETWEEN IT AND THE INSTITUTE OF GRADUATE STUDIES AND RESEARCH FOR AGRICULTURE AND ARID AREAS

NARSS discusses ways of cooperation between them and the institute of graduate studies and research for agriculture and arid areas - Ain Shams university in the framework of activating the protocol of cooperation between the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences and Ain Shams university Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bayoumi Zahran met with Dr. Ayman Farid Abu Hadid, former minister of agriculture, full-time professor at the institute of graduate studies and research for agriculture and arid areas, and Prof. Dr.osama al-bahiri dean - institute of graduate studies research for agriculture and arid areas to discuss ways of cooperation between the NARSS  and between the institute of graduate studies and research for agriculture and arid areas - Ain Shams university, attended the meeting Prof. Dr. Islam Abu Al-magd, vice president of the authority and Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Bilal Abdul Mantalib, head of the division of agricultural applications, soil and marine sciences in the authority, as well as Prof. Dr.Ghada Atta, head of the department of training and continuous studies and coordinator of the meeting on the authority and professor Dr.Rasha professor natural geography - faculty of Arts Ain Shams university and coordinator of the meeting on the university as well as Prof. Dr.Mohammed Amin Abo Al-ghar, head of the department of agricultural applications - division of agricultural applications, soil and marine sciences in the authority. for his part, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Bayoumi Zahran confirmed the NARSS's aspiration to establish an extended cooperation with the institute of graduate studies and research for agriculture and arid areas - Ain Shams university as part of Egypt's vision 2030 for sustainable development and support the state's efforts in implementing a number of giant national aquaculture projects, the 1.5-acre project, the new delta, livestock development and other state-supported projects aimed at achieving food security of strategic goods for citizens. the meeting ended with the development of activation points and ways of cooperation as follows: 1- developing a master's program in the field of smart agriculture using remote sensing to serve agricultural development projects in Egypt. 2- sharing experiences meets the field of remote sensing applications, gis and remote control techniques in the field of smart or accurate agriculture. 3- joint supervision of graduate students in the field of remote sensing applications and smart agriculture or minute 4 - providing technical and applied consultations in the field of agriculture and agricultural environment based on modern technologies such as remote sensing, internet of things, mobile applications and artificial intelligence. 5- providing training courses in remote sensing applications in agriculture and the agricultural environment. 6- participating in the work of applied projects that serve the development goals of the agricultural community. 7- preparing scientific cadres and conducting research that serves the community 8- holding joint conferences and workshops to present the results of cooperation between the two sides in the field of agricultural development.
