The strategy of the division is to employ, develop, and transfer the recent technologies of digital image processing (DIP) of satellite data and geographic information system (GIS) applications and their R & D. Promote sustainable development agenda nationwide based on partnerships with national and international institutions in the fields of Geo-informatics and Remote Sensing to exchange experiences and to develop national capacity in digital image processing and GIS techniques.

Developing, and transferring the recent technologies of digital image processing (DIP) of satellite data and geographic information system (GIS) applications and their R & D.

Receiving and archiving satellite data from NARSS receiving stations for final production and servicing different remote sensing applications.

Providing customers with raw, processed and value added data in the exact time and increasing the sales volume.

In addition to managing the internal and external researches and projects, supervising data transfer between NARSS different divisions.

Conducting fundamental and advanced training courses on concepts of remote sensing, DIP and GIS and their related technologies.

Providing technical assistance and consultancy for multidisciplinary studies for decision support purposes.
