⦁ Conducting R & D and applied projects using various satellite data in different fields of remote sensing applications for users, customers and decision makers covering their specific areas and concessions.
⦁ Receiving, archiving, and providing remote sensing satellite data with different scales, geographic coverages and spatio-temporal & spectral resolutions.
⦁Building, developing and updating the storages and the databases of the geographic information systems (GIS) and the spatial modeling of the earth resources and the climate according to international standards. In addition to their employment in the deduction of the optimal use and future maps for the users to put the executive plans to serve the sustainable development programs in Egypt.
⦁ Implementing pre, post and advanced digital image processing (DIP) of space images and providing the customers with (raw, processed and value added) high quality outputs in different fields of remote sensing applications.
⦁ Producing detailed and automatic photomaps, mosaics and atlases with different scales using latest techniques in (Geology, Agriculture, Minerology, Water resources, Petrology, Environment, ----- etc.).
⦁ Developing open-source tools using various programing languages (Python, Java, R, MATLAB) by designing algorithms for preparing integrated systems through the desktop or internet to provide different spatial and geographic analyses.
⦁ Delivering scientific and practical programs and conducting fundamental and advanced training courses on concepts of remote sensing, and the latest developments of DIP and GIS and their related technologies to increase the specialist’s awareness and qualifications nationally and internationally.
⦁ Offering internal and external technical assistance for experts, scientific and practical consultancy in image processing & GIS projects for decision support purposes and contributing to the developments which serves the directions of the state 2030.
