National Authority for Remote Sensing & Space Sciences

This was a joint project between NARSS and El- Fayoum Governorate.

This project aimed to build an information system to support decision-making in the development plans of the governorate by studying the possibilities and determinants of development and the use of remote sensing techniques and geographic information systems. The project contributes to show the role of NARSS in achieving strategic and sustainable studies of human activities, land and water resources and assessment of environmental problems in the governorate.

About NARSS

NARSS has been established in 1991 as a General Authority for Remote Sensing belongs to the Ministry of State for Scientific Research.

NARSS was then organizationally restructured in 1994; following the Presidential Decree No. 261 for 1992, as a National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences belongs to the Ministry of Scientific Research.
