This was a joint project between NARSS and Petrojet co.

This project aims to make an assessment for groundwater capabilities and to identify the suitable or optimum sites to drill for groundwater extraction. The study included the following:

 

1- Making a digital geological and hydrogeological data in GIS dataset.

2- Identification of the spatial changes in the expected water-bearing layers, especially those outcropped.

3- Construction of several VES profiles to determine the potentialities of groundwater occurrence and to distinguish the subsurface succession.

About NARSS

NARSS has been established in 1991 as a General Authority for Remote Sensing belongs to the Ministry of State for Scientific Research.

NARSS was then organizationally restructured in 1994; following the Presidential Decree No. 261 for 1992, as a National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences belongs to the Ministry of Scientific Research.
