NARSSEl-Dabaa Project
The main goal of this project can be summarized in updating the shoreline changes and seabed information of El-Dabaa coastal area, through qualitative detection of the erosion / accretion patterns along El-Dabaa coast based on remote sensing data, using LANDSAT Thematic Mapper "TM" (1984, 2000 and 2001), analyze shoreline variations between 1984 and 2001 from satellite LANDSAT Thematic Mapper "TM", in addition to identifying the bottom texture of the investigated area and the distribution of sedimentation patterns. A recent intensive survey during April 2001 serve to identify the erosion and accretion changes patterns occurred during the long term period (17 year).
