The inventory and estimation of the areas of desert land use in Egypt is a basic requirement and a high national priority for the national plans for development represented in the management of land and water resources in Egypt and the cessation of encroachments on them. Crimes of infringement on the state’s lands have exceeded the limits of perception, and the desert lands have acquired a large part of the aggression in expanding the reclamation process and seizing large areas by the people and companies in an unplanned and unorganized manner because it is not subject to the state’s umbrella in the process of reclamation and cultivation, which has become an obligation on the state Make an inventory of all the lands that were encroached upon, to subjugate it under the authority of the state’s jurisdiction.
Aims:

Monitoring and mapping the uses of lands in Wadi Al-Natroun region, Al-Buhaira governorate, defined in accordance with Republican Decision No. 529 of 2017

Preparing an integrated information system for the uses of these lands to support the governorate in taking the necessary measures to stop any form of aggression on state lands within the framework of Law No. 144 of 2017 and its executive regulations No. 18 of 2017 regarding rules and procedures for disposing of state property.
Outputs:

Geospatial database "Geo-Database" including surveying works and§ land uses (cultivated lands, reclaimed, unexploited, residential and administrative buildings, poultry and animal production buildings) had done by NARSS Team.

Software on the Internet (Web-Software) to handle data.

Establish a geographic information systems unit in Beheira Governorate, and provide practical training for the trainees nominated by Beheira Governorate on the basics of remote sensing and geographic information systems.
