This is joint project between NARSS and PETROPEL

July 01, 2018

The project investigated the hydrogeological setting of the Helicopter site to be constructed in Petrobel at Al Khalah area north of the Nile Delta using remote sensing, GIS and DC resistivity techniques. The acquired data showed that the Helicopter area is not affected by any of the delineated drainage e lines and flash floods. Moreover, the areas outside petroble are dissected by canals and drains are capable to contain any developed surface runoff. It is recommended that mitigation measured could be taken to control this insignificant runoff via raising the level of the Heliport than surroundings.
